traqueófitas 26
TRACHEOPHYTES plants of the taxon Tracheophyta[/X] or Tracheobionta are those plants with xylem and phloem, including psilophytes, lycopods, horsetails, ferns, gymnosperms and angiosperms. The most outstanding feature is that they change their reproductive method alternately one generation is gametophytic and the next is sporophytic, the latter being the dominant phase. And then a gametophytic generation comes back. There are tracheophyte families that became extinct millions of years ago and only fossil remains exist.
