Meaning of transactivo

Spanish open dictionary

transactivo
  1515

transactive adj. It is applied in this dictionary to certain conjunctive or adverbial expressions with which the enunciation of something that represents a concession of the speaker, or transaction, is introduced with respect to a certain position expressed before or known; such as at least or even if only . It would exactly accommodate the designation concessions ; but this one already has a value consecrated in grammar, applied also to conjunctive, prepositive or adverbial expressions and it would be disturbing to twist its application. Transactive expressions belong to the group of modifiers and are related to attenuative, corrective and restrictive; but what characterizes the transactives is the subjective concession character of the attenuation, correction or qualification introduced: Do not come looking for me this afternoon ... if at all, after six o'clock . Compromise.
