In Bolivia, totay or totaí is called a species of palm tree that is also known elsewhere as coyol, cocoyol, corozo, lata, píritu, güis, or uvita. Its scientific name is Bactris guieenensis. It belongs to the Arecaceae family. It can be found in Central and South America and in the Caribbean Islands.
