In Mexico it is one of the common names of a tree for use dendroenergy ( for firewood). Its scientific name is Lysiloma divaricata or Lysiloma divaricatum. It is also known as whitewood, acacia, brittle, mauto, prieto stick, guaje, guajillo, mesquite, bankruptcyhacha, tepeguaje. It belongs to the fabaceae family. The term is of Nahuatl origin.
