tizona 50
It is the name of one of the swords of the Cid Champion, according to literary tradition; although there are several weapons in different museums that in some case could be ( in whole or in part) the historical Tizona. Initially it was called Tizón, probably an allusion to the wood or burning coals of the forge where it was forged. The use as synonymous with sword is only in poetic form.
