Plural of typographer.Typesetter ( also known as typesetter typographer or simply typographer ) It is an official imprint whose task was to compose molds that have to be printed.The trade of typesetter goes back to the early days of the printing press. The compositors, as transcribers of sermons, could work in festive, something not reserved to printers. The compositors were always considered to be educated people, as they required a good grammatical and technical training. Some politicians and prominent unionists, as the Spanish Pablo Iglesias, were formed in the workshops of printers boxes.This profession has evolved over time, as the typographic techniques were doing. The first compositors were basically engaged in composing lines of text for newspapers and books. Later specialized in the remenderia, which was to carry out work of complex composition ( i.e., commercial work and fantasy ). Finally, its main function was that of adjuster or sorter. The corrector typesetter was which made the correction directly in the lead. The sorter, also called adjuster or editor, typesetter is which was dedicated to combining or adjust the pages.
