In English it is a mistake for tindalus ("Intsia acuminata tree"), Tyndar ("mythical king of Sparta") or Tyndalus dog ("for fictional characters inspired by the Cthulhu Mythos").
It is more suitable to use tindal or tindar (with tilde). It is one of the common names of a tropical tree in the family Fabaceae. Its scientific name is Eperua falcata. It is also called balayon. It has resistant wood and incarnate color. It is widely used in joinery.
