The argumentative text, as its name suggests, is the text that is used in a brief to argue a particular idea.

John Rene Plaut

ARGUMENTATIVE TEXT It is that writing that explains and defends a concept, theory, initiative, project, etc. giving reasons and details that allow to understand and convince who reads it, of the goodness of it. It differs from the NARRATIVE TEXT that is the one that tells a story of a person or character, describing event through a space and a time. It is also different from the INFORMATIVE TEXT that is the journalistic character and that explains events, their causes, development and consequences. Another type is EXPOSITIVO, typical of congresses and classes, where an expert addresses an audience less knowledgeable of the subject presented. .
