Temik is the trading name of a poison used as a nematicide. Chemically it is a carbamate. It is also used as insecticide and acaricide. Also referred to as Aldicarb. It is one of pesticides harmful to the environment because it is easily washed, contaminate water and has residual action. It is the main cause of the pollution of the Aral Sea.
