taoísmo 5
It differentiates two types of Taoism, the so-called philosophical Taoism (known as Tao-Chia which is understood as "School" or rather as "group professing a doctrine") and the second is Religious Taoism (Tao-chiao). Philosophical Taoism refers to the works of Lao-tzu* (Tao-te ching) and Chuang-tzu, considered its founders, and of Lie-tse and Yang-Chu, its continuators. The aim of its adherents is a mystical union with the Tao through meditation and assimilation to the nature of the Tao in thinking and acting. Representatives of religious Taoism, on the other hand, are more specifically interested in the attainment of immortality.
