Tangerine is incorrectly written, and should be written as "Tangerine" being its meaning: It is more correct to use the term Tangerine, meaning of Tanger, originally from Tangier. It is one of the names given to the Rutaceae family tree and its fruit of the genus Citrus. The main species are Citrus reshni, Citrus unshiu and Citrus reticulata. They are known as tanjarinas, tangerines.
