In Colombia it means dad, father, father. Taita is also the name of an ethnic group based in Kenya, in Taita-Taveta County. Among several indigenous groups Taita is also called a wise old man, who is usually the greatest authority. Among the Kamsa Indians, he is the ancestral physician. Healer.
