sorghum . ( Del it. ( sorghum ). 1. m. annual plant native to the India of the family of the grass, with two to three metres tall reeds, filled with a white tissue and something sweet and hairy at the nodes; leaves are hairless, rough at the edges, flowers in loose, large panicle and right, or thick, clustering and suspension, and larger than the cañamones grain, reddish, whitish or yellow. These serve to make bread and feed the birds, and the entire floor of grass for the cows and other animals. 2. m. seeds of this plant.
