It is a derogatory way to call the militants of the liberal party in the early days of the political and fratricidal war in Colombia. They were also told collarejos. The side that is opposite to the Conservatives said Goths or chulavitas. Literally means with horns on his head (devil, demon: it was assumed that the Liberals were not Catholic or going to mass).

meaning of cachiporro is incorrectly written and it should be written as Cahiporros or Liberals. "being its meaning: the name given during the period of violence" in Colombia (around age 50's of the 20th century) to the members of the Liberal Party. Their opponents, members of the conservative party as them Goths. The Conservative Party (the party of slavers) was founded by Simón Bolívar, and however the type they call it "El Libertador".
