The name of an indigenous ethnic group is present in Peru and Ecuador. Shiwiar is also the language that they speak. Also referred to as Achuar. The word alone wants to say man, human being. These Indians live in the province of Pastasa (Ecuador) and in the provinces of Loreto and Datem del Marañón (Peru).
