The common name of an alga is marina, common in the Caribbean Sea and the South Atlantic. Belongs to the class Phaeophyceae, Sargassaceae family and its scientific name is Sargassum muticum. It has forms of elongate ribbons and they can grow several meters. They form floating islands that hinder navigation.
