ruipóntico . ( Of the lat. )( rheuponticum ). 1. m. plant perennial of the family Polygonaceae, with radicals, large, obtuse, heart-shaped leaves at the base of long petioles, hairless on the beam and hairy on the underside, white in panicles on a common of six to eight decimetres of high, dry fruit, and similar roots and flowers with properties similar to the rhubarb. It comes from Asia minor and grown throughout Europe. ruipóntico indigenous, or ruipóntico vulgaris. 1. d. Plant (a) of the same family as the previous and very similar to it, with flat, obtuse leaves and greenish flowers, a hermaphrodite and other Unisexual by abortion.
