It is a frog larva that possesses a tail, lacks legs, and has gill respiration. It looks more like a fish. It is the second stage of the frog's metamorphosis. Colloquially in Colombia, child, infant.

1º_ Frog in the larval stage, which still has gill respiration and lives in water. From the old version 'ranacuajo' (derogatory and diminutive of frog). 2nd. By the above it is said of a small child, of a young age. 3º_ In lunfardo it is used as a mockery towards those who want to play the frog ("cunning, who can easily give himself a good life") , but it does not reach that category.
