The Real Academia Española, 3 also known by its acronym RAE, is a cultural institution with headquarters in Madrid, capital of Spain. Along with other 21 academies for two countries where Spanish is spoken, make up the Association of academies of the language Espanola.se dedicated to the linguistic legalization through the enactment of regulations aimed at fostering the language unity within and between the various territories; ensure a common standard, in accordance with its founding statutes: "ensure that the changes you experience [...]» not break the essential unity that keeps in all the Hispanic». 4Fue founded in 1713 by the illustrated Juan Manuel Fernández Pacheco, 8th Marquis of Villena and Duke of Escalona, in imitation of the French Academy.
