Tumor of diverse structure, but in a way pediculada, which is formed and grows in the mucous membranes of different cavities and mainly the nose and die and the vagina in women. 2. m. Zool. One of the two forms of organization that occurs in the coelenterates cnidarians, as unique, as in the actinias and remaining anthozoa type, well in alternation with a form medusa, as in the alternating reproductive cycle of many cnidarians. The polyp lives fixed at the bottom of the waters by one of its ends, and l. it elevates the other mouth, surrounded by tentacles.
