Psittacula : Genus of psitaciform birds of the family of psitaculides living in Asia, Africa and Indian islands.
It means parrot, little parrot. Diminutive of Psittacus ( parrot). It is the name of a genus of parrots or parrots belonging to the family Psittaculidae . They are only found in Africa and some islands of the Indian Ocean.
