MASS PRODUCTION rather SERIES PRODUCTION Refers to a method devised by Henry Ford to produce large volumes of products much faster, cheaper and more efficiently. Instead of a worker or group completely manufacturing a car, he designed assembly lines, where the vehicles were moving while the operators remained in their positions, doing the slightest part, but always the same with maximum perfection and efficiency. This technique is universally used today on all mass product production lines.
