Plural of premise.In logic, each of the proposals prior to the conclusion of an argumento.1 in a valid argument is a premise, the premises entail the conclusion, but this is not necessary to make a proposition a premise: the only thing relevant is its place in the argument, not its rol.2 to be propositions, the premises always assert or deny something and can be true or false.
