persimmons is incorrectly written, and should be written as "persimon" being its meaning: It is a persimmon, fruit of the size of an orange, long cultivated in the zone of the Eastern Spanish, coming from Japan, which undergo a warehouse in the presence of alcohol treatment to remove the water, its astringency and harsh taste, leaving with the consistency of an Apple, what was once a fruit soft, with appearance of jam and impossible to sell. The tree that produces it belongs to the family of the 3cmlong and is the diospyros kaki with many varieties. The bright red variety is marketed on our East Coast.
