Ricardo de Cuba Menéndez was born in Barranquilla (Colombia) on September 26, 1950. In Medellin (Colombia) he finished his primary and high school study. In 1973 he graduated Bachelor in a school in peace Cesar. In 1974 joined the Faculty of Economics at the University of the Atlantic and in his capacity as student cooperate 2 year dictating the chairs of algebra of matrices and calculus infinitesimal, in 1984 he graduated with the thesis analysis mathematical interpretation economical.
