PERDIZ NIVAL , by NIVAL Concerning Snow . It is a resistant grouse that inhabits the barren lands of the Arctic mountain range; adapts well to hostile environments. It is well camouflaged thanks to white winter plumage and brown plumage with summer specks; In the spring, the male sheds its feathers later than the female, so at the beginning of the breeding season remains visibly white while the female becomes almost invisible in the tundra.
