Plural of parihuela. It is the name of a makeshift stretcher consisting of two sticks and a fabric or canvas. It can usually be carried by two people. Used to transport sick or heavy loads. Synonymous with litter, cibiaca, height, arguenas, caltrizas. In Peru, parihuela is also a delicious dish which has seafood.
