The Panther as a defined species does not exist. It exists in animal taxonomy the Panthera genus, which includes the five described species of big cats. Called Panther or black to the large felids Panther, when they suffer from Melanism ( darkening of the fur and skin ). With this term are designated to leopards ( Panthera pardus ) and Jaguars ( Panthera onca ) that you suffer from melanism. In some cases also tell them Panthers, Pumas ( PUMA concolor ) with melanism or very dark. There are also called white Panthers, which are the same species of these Panthers but who suffer from albinism. There is a cat, called the 40 Snow Leopard; Panthera uncia ) to which also say you white Panther. In Colombia we say Panthers women's very short-tempered. Sometimes we tell them also Patico, or combination of Panther, Tiger and Cocodrilo.Al footballer Eusebio of Portugal also said you La Pantera Negra.Panteras black also was the name of a movement of black athletes protesting the racial segregacionismo.
