pangelín . ( Of the port. )( angelim ). 1. m. legume tree of the Brazil, which grows up to twelve or fourteen metres tall, with trunk straight and thick, spacious glass, similar to the Walnut leaves, small flowers, arranged in clusters and fruit aovado, four to five centimeters long, with a high and longitudinal suture. It contains a hard and reddish almonds filled with a heart of taste between bitter and sour, unpleasant, it is used in medicine as an anthelmintic.
