In Colombia is the common name for several fish of river. In some parts they say Jackfish piranhas or Caribs, who are a few carnivorous fish of the family Characidae. Also they say thumbscrews to some fish from the family Cichlidae, known as chanchitos, pig, bedpans, castañetas or faces. There are several sea fish that are also called moths, including the horse mackerel (in Chile).
