palma de manaca
  22

PALMA DE MANACA Euterpe oleracea, is already in the dictionary as ASAÍ, its common name, and also as PALMA MANACA, another of its synonyms, but hey, we will say something more for the pleasure of those who consult so much for the palm trees. It is a palm tree native to northern South America, appreciated for the nutritional properties of its fruit. Its consumption dates back to pre-Columbian times and is a very important food in the Amazonian diet. It contains many vitamins, proteins, fiber, amino acids, healthy monounsaturated fats and it provides up to 30 times more antioxidants than red wine. Açaí is said to be an energetic, immune system strengthener, which helps muscle growth and fights the effects of aging.
