Meaning of palir

John Rene Plaut

palir
  52

PALIR Not to mention that it could be a spelling mistake by PALIAR which is to reduce the effect (of something), PALIR derives from PALI Indian dialect in which it is written the oldest Buddhist traditions and that today is used as a liturgical language (as before Latin in the Catholic Church) in Sri Lanka, Indochina, Thailand and Nepal. Palir, then is making use of the pali, or converting texts to pali dialect.
