It was the name of a Roman divinity of the countryside and cattle. Roman divinity protector of shepherds and cattle. Name of an asteroid . In Entomology it is the name of two different genera of insects. The first is a genus of diptera (flies) of the family Tachinidae. The second is a genus of beetles in the family Chrysomelidae. Some species are used in biological pest control.
