This for several razon:primero: because this people there is an island.Secondly, Because this word is derived from a quechua phrase that is do pat-tsa, kam-maj which means do separate ground do.????Third: Because those who named the island in front of this town are the saw and in this region there are no Islands therefore in quechua there is no noun island. So the only way to indicate that you see an island or there is an island is saying that there is a land separate or do pat-tsa, kam-maj do, phrase that over time becomes Pachacamac.??
