It is more indicated overhaul. It is an Anglicism that means review, general maintenance. It is a technical term used in Engineering and Mechanics. It is a type of general preventive and corrective maintenance that is carried out to all kinds of engines. It involves operation output, therefore it must be well programmed if you want to continue producing. This term is most commonly used in aviation and the oil industry.
