The correct term is Onan. Biblical character named in the book of Genesis. In Hebrew it means strong. Son of Judah. His name gave rise to the word onanism, which is used as a synonym for masturbation, but believed that it should really be used to denote interruption of intercourse ( coitus interruptus ).
