Meaning of oleoteca

furoya

oleoteca
  4

It is almost a commercial and advertising neologism for oil companies, retail distributors of edible oil, which due to its etymology is more oriented to olive oil. And to be a promotional invention we must recognize that in this case it is correctly constructed, because although it takes the Latin oleum, olei which names any oily substance, in principle it coincided with the Greek ?????? (elaion) as "juice of the olive", which here is joined to another Greek word such as ???? (théke), which is used for "closet, box, collection".

Sergio M

It is said of the establishment where a large collection and varieties of olive oils are displayed and that can be purchased, tasted and that products such as soaps or fragrances are also made.
