Okapi . 1. m. even-toed ungulate ruminant, of the same family as the giraffe, but with the neck and the rear feet short, reddish brown fur, white face, and legs and quarters listed as in zebras. It is elusive, nocturnal habits and lives in leafy forests of Equatorial Africa.
