Plural of Bishop: word derived from Greek episcopos episcopou ( EPI-: upon, up, at the front of, head of and skopeo ( 41 skeptomai;: observe, examine, protect, visit ): the guardian, the protector, the watchman. He is a priest administrator of a diocese which includes many parishes.
