Nájera is the name of a municipality in the autonomous community of La Rioja (Spain). It is a place known for its cabinetmakers and its production of furniture, so it is speculated that its name comes from the Arabic 1575; 1604; 1606; 1580; 1575; 1585; (Ainayar "carpenter") but the name seems to predate that industry or craftsmanship, perhaps even of Visigothic origin.
