Meaning of nosotrxs

John Rene Plaut

nosotrxs
  187

NOSOTRXS Feminist mania of some who defend gender equality who consider language to be, since we are able to speak, constituting discrimination and perpetuation of superior and discriminatory sexist behavior. They therefore seek to impose a new language, in which the male and the group differ in the far-handed way. Then, nosotrxs is synonymous with us and us, thus having three personal pronouns for the three people of the plural, along with vosotrxs and ellxs. Similarly it will occur with nuestrxs, vuestrxs, suyxs, and countless nouns and adjectives. We would have to start talking about pedagogues, pedagogues and pedagogxes, for example. Moreover, we should, to be egalitarian, incorporate doctors, teachers, presidents, especially with the most popular version of replacing the o with an e instead of the x, which allows to pronounce these words, but creates the obligation to have 3 declines instead of 2 for practically all nouns and adjectives of Spanish, more than 100 . 000 in the DRAE. Then, if we respect the principle, we should create terms for the sexed and bisexual, and talk about nosotris, vosotris, ellis and nosotrus, vosotrus, ellus, or unmanutionable terms such as nosotrzs, vosotrzs, ellzs and nosotrws, vosotrws, ellws. And, if we are exhaustive, these recognitions would involve reconsidering the different combinations that could be given, for example, sexed up and women, sexed up and men, bisexuals and women, or combinations of three genders such as sex, bisexual and female. We'd be opening a Pandora's box of unpredictable negative consequences. For the sake of gender justice, we would significantly damage our ease of communication. For example, instead of 11 verbal declines (me, you, you, the, she, us, you, you, them) for each time, would become 14 and if we consider asexual and bisexual separated, 22. If we consider gender combinations the increase would be explosive ( 35 ). We would come to a paradox situation of having very precise language, but we would be unable to master and occupy properly.
