noeico 7
1º_ Relating to the biblical character Noah, also to the time when the Universal Flood occurred in the Old Testament or to its later time. According to tradition, only Noah with his family and the animals he was able to carry in his ark were saved from the catastrophe. It is a word taken from the Hebrew 1504; 1465; 1495; 1463; ( Noá "rest, which gives consolation" ) with the suffix -ico . 2º_ By association with the flood that covered the Earth, exogeology gave the name 'noeic' to a supposed Martian period in which this planet would have been covered with water. [I actually went on to comment that noeico is a grave word ending in a vowel, and is therefore correctly spelled without an accent. ]
