NIPA . ( Of the Malay nipah ). 1. f. plant of the family of las Palmas, about three meters tall, with trunk straight and gnarled, almost circular leaves of a underground approximately in diameter, games ensiformes lacinias gathered by the apices, greenish flowers, separated the male of female, but all in a same stalk and fruit in Hostas drupe, blackish, hard on the outside and estoposa from the inside barkcovering a very consistent nut.
