MIMD modern MULTIPROCESSING technology, based on the simultaneous and asynchronous manipulation of data by the same computer, which has between 2 and 16 CPUs (always in power modules of 2 ). The acronym corresponds to the acronym in English 'Multiple Instructions, Multiple Data', that is, multiple instructions are executed simultaneously to treat various groups of data. This model brings with it data consistency problems, complex to solve properly.
