In various parts of Colombia and the Caribbean it means getting up early, getting up early. Not to be confused with bruising which means compressing, squeezing, squeezing, crushing. In some parts of Colombia it is also laziness, slow work, slow things (do the trick).

The word "mañungar" is used in some regions of Colombia as a synonym for apachurrar , machucar , bruilla.
