It is a kind of very rustic corn, which occurs in very arid lands. Considered one of the oldest varieties and originals of the corn. It is dark colored, with coffee and is characterized by very hard grains. It is also called chapalote, bad pache, may, mayobachi, corn reventador, elotero corn.
