Meaning of listerosis

listerosis: It is the name of a bacteriosis or food poisoning caused by the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes. Poisonings caused by bacteria of the genus Listeria (which means dedicated to Lister, a British surgeon : Joseph Lister).
