In Medicine is the name given to a blood disorder. Refers to abnormal low blood T and B lymphocyte count. It can be caused by malnutrition, as a side effect of chemotherapy or radiation therapy, severe stress, excessive fasting or viral processes. It can cause problems in the immune system. Lymphocytopenia is also called lymphocytopenia.
