la barca de caronte 20
CHARON'S BOAT in Greek mythology Caron or Charon (meaning intense brilliance) was the boatman who transported the souls of the newly dead down the river Acheron (and not the Styx, as some write, including Virgil in the Aeneid), to Hades, where they would dwell for all eternity. He transported them in a totally rusty boat, aided by a pole.
