It is one of the names given in Paraguay to the yellow anaconda. Curijú or curiyú is also used. The term is of Guaranía origin. The scientific name is Eunectes notaeus and belongs to the Boidae family. This large constrictor snake can measure about 4 meters and lives near aquatic environments.
